Strategic Planning Workshop
Strategic clarity doesn't come from more information, it comes from better conversations. We facilitate planning sessions that move leadership teams from divergent thinking to aligned action, with the structure to stay focused and the independence to surface what really needs to be said.

About This Workshop
Structure and independence for the conversations that matter most.
Annual planning. Quarterly resets. New financial year kickoffs. Moments of strategic inflection. Whatever the trigger, every leadership team eventually needs a session where the real strategic conversations happen - not the polished presentations, but the honest questions about priorities, trade-offs and direction.
We facilitate Strategic Planning Workshops for leadership teams and senior management groups who need to move from information to decisions, from divergent thinking to aligned action. We bring the structure and the independence - someone who isn’t invested in any particular outcome and can ask the questions your team might not ask each other.
Choose Your Format
Built around your planning cycle
Half-day
A focused session for teams with a clear agenda and limited time. Works best for quarterly resets, single-topic decisions or pre-annual-planning alignment.
Context-setting and current-state review
Priority ranking and trade-off discussion
Decision-making and owner assignment
Aligned narrative for team communication
Teams short on time with a specific decision or reset to work through.
Full-day
The most versatile format. Covers the full strategic planning arc from situation analysis to prioritised action plan — the recommended starting point for most teams.
Situation analysis and context framing
Strategic priorities: diverge and converge
Trade-off and resource allocation decisions
Action planning with owners and timelines
Leadership narrative and communication plan
Leadership teams doing annual planning, new-year kickoffs or mid-year strategic resets.
2-day offsite
For teams facing genuine strategic complexity or significant change. Space to go deeper, revisit assumptions, and leave with decisions that stick.
Everything in the full-day format
Deeper environmental and competitive scan
Scenario planning and stress-testing
Culture and capability alignment
Individual leadership commitments
Day-two synthesis and integration
Organisations at a strategic inflection point — new leadership, major market shifts, significant restructuring.
What Participants Leave With
Six outputs from a
single planning session
01
Clear strategic priorities
Agreed priorities for the period ahead — decided, not assumed, with the trade-offs made explicit.
02
Decision-making clarity
Resolved trade-offs on resource allocation, sequencing, and where the team will and won’t focus.
03
An action plan with owners
Concrete next steps with named owners, timelines and accountability structures.
04
An aligned leadership narrative
A shared story the leadership team can use to communicate strategy clearly to wider teams.
05
Documented session outputs
A written record of decisions, priorities and actions for follow-up, governance and reference.
06
Momentum
Teams that have decided together move faster. The session creates the conditions for execution.
Before the session
We recommend an anonymised questionnaire, a short series of interviews with participants, or both. In our experience, the quality of the day depends heavily on how well the facilitation is calibrated to what's actually at stake for the team. Pre-work helps us do that: it surfaces the real decisions, the unspoken tensions, and the areas where the team is more misaligned than they might realise.
“You have created a space for open, candid discussions, including perspectives we may not always surface in the office.”
