About This Training

Resilience is not about being unaffected by difficulty. It is about how quickly and effectively people recover from it — and how they build the capacity to handle more over time. In a world of constant change, increasing workloads, and blurred boundaries between work and life, resilience has become one of the most strategically important skills an organisation can develop.

This training goes beyond stress management tips. It gives participants a grounded, evidence-based understanding of how resilience actually works — and practical tools to build it deliberately, both individually and as a team. Participants leave with strategies they can apply the same week, not just a workbook they put in a drawer.

We design every session around your team’s specific pressures — whether that’s organisational change, high-performance demands, or a culture that hasn’t yet made space for wellbeing.

Choose Your Format

Half-day or full-day
built around your team

Half-day intensive

3.5 hours

A focused, practical session that gives participants the core resilience toolkit — evidence-based strategies they can begin applying to their work and life immediately.

What resilience actually is:

Separating myth from science — and understanding why resilience is a skill, not a personality type

Your stress signature:

Identifying how pressure shows up for you personally and what your early warning signs look like

Recovery strategies that work:

Practical tools for bouncing back faster — and knowing which strategies suit your situation

Protecting your energy:

How to manage cognitive load, boundary-setting, and sustainable performance over the long term

Building a resilient team culture:

The small habits and shared norms that make teams stronger under pressure

Best for

Teams under sustained pressure, organisations navigating change, or any group that wants to build a stronger foundation before the next challenging period hits.

RECOMMENDED

Full-day deep dive

7 hours

The complete experience. Participants go deeper into the science of resilience, work through their own patterns and build a personalised resilience plan they can sustain long after the session ends.

Resilience self-assessment:

Participants map their current resilience across four dimensions: physical, emotional, cognitive, and relational

The neuroscience of stress and recovery:

Understanding how the brain and body respond to pressure — and how to work with that, not against it

Identifying your depletion patterns:

Recognising the habits, environments, and relationships that drain versus replenish your energy

Advanced recovery strategies:

A deeper toolkit: reframing, psychological distancing, post-traumatic growth, and building optimism deliberately

Psychological safety as a team resilience lever:

How leaders create the conditions for teams to be honest about struggle — before it becomes crisis

Resilience in practice — live scenarios:

Applying the tools to real situations participants bring to the room: a current stressor, a team challenge, or a transition they’re navigating

Personal resilience design:

Each participant leaves with a written, practical resilience plan they can put into practice from the following Monday

Best for

Individuals, teams, and leaders navigating high pressure, constant change, or burnout risk. Also effective as a team reset after a period of sustained intensity.

Note

This session works best when participants feel safe to be honest about what they’re experiencing. We create that environment intentionally from the opening. No sharing is ever compulsory. For full-day sessions, we recommend groups of up to 20 to allow for meaningful personal reflection and small-group work. All materials and a digital resilience toolkit are included in the booking.

Outcomes

What participants leave with

01

A personal resilience map

A clear picture of your current resilience across four dimensions — and where to focus your energy first

02

A toolkit of evidence-based recovery strategies

Practical techniques for bouncing back faster, managing stress in the moment, and building long-term capacity

03

Understanding of your stress signature

Know your personal early warning signs — and what to do when they appear, before they become a problem

04

Skills for protecting energy at work

Concrete habits for managing cognitive load, setting boundaries, and sustaining high performance without burning out

05

A team resilience lens

Understand how resilience works at team level — and how to build the norms and culture that make teams stronger under pressure

06

A written personal resilience plan

A practical, personalised plan participants can begin implementing from the following Monday — not just a set of good intentions

“We brought in Fridaymakers during one of the most intense periods our team had experienced in years. The Resilience by Design session didn’t just give people tools — it gave them permission to talk about how they were really doing. That shift alone was worth it."
