About This Training
Most people are given a job title long before they’re given influence. And most organisations confuse the two. Lead with Influence is built on a simple premise: the ability to move people, shape decisions, and create momentum is a learnable skill — not a personality trait, and not a perk of seniority.
This training gives participants a practical framework for understanding how influence works — and how to use it with intention. Whether they’re navigating upwards with senior leaders, sideways with peers, or downwards with their own teams, participants leave knowing exactly what to do differently.
We design every session around real situations your people are facing — not hypothetical scenarios or abstract theory.
Choose Your Format
Half-day or full-day
built around your team
Half-day intensive
A focused, high-energy session that gives participants the core influence toolkit — practical strategies they can apply to real relationships and challenges the very next day.
The influence mindset:
Understanding the difference between persuading, convincing, and genuinely influencing
Mapping your stakeholders:
Identifying who you need to bring with you and what matters most to each of them
Building trust quickly:
The behaviours that accelerate credibility with new teams, senior leaders, and peers
Communication that lands:
Structuring your message for the audience, not yourself — and knowing when to listen instead
Personal influence plan:
Each participant leaves with a concrete approach for one real relationship they want to shift
Individual contributors and emerging leaders who need to get things done without formal authority, or as an introduction before the full-day programme.
RECOMMENDED
Full-day deep dive
The complete Lead with Influence experience. Participants go deeper into the psychology of influence, practise in live scenarios, and leave with a personal leadership style they can articulate and act on.
Influence styles diagnostic:
Participants identify their natural influence style and where it serves them — and where it gets in the way
Stakeholder strategy lab:
Build a real influence map for a current challenge: who to move, how, and in what order
The trust architecture:
Deep dive into consistency, competence, and care — the three levers of lasting credibility
Difficult conversations as influence moments:
How to use conflict, disagreement, and feedback as opportunities to build rather than damage relationships
Leading up, across and down:
Tailored strategies for influencing senior leaders, peers, and direct reports
Live practice scenarios:
Participants navigate real-world influence challenges with coaching and group debrief
Personal leadership narrative:
Articulate who you are as a leader, what you stand for, and how you want to show up in any room
Team leads, managers, project owners, and high-potential individuals who need to move people and decisions without relying on title or hierarchy.
Note
This programme works best when participants come with a real stakeholder challenge in mind — someone they need to influence, a decision they’re trying to move, or a relationship they want to strengthen. We send a short pre-session prompt to help them prepare. All materials and a personal influence toolkit are included in the booking.
