About This Training

Most teams are not short of ideas. They are short of the conditions, tools, and confidence to surface them. Creative thinking is not a gift some people have and others don’t — it is a skill that can be practised, structured, and applied to real business problems. This training builds exactly that.

Participants learn how to challenge assumptions, reframe problems, generate ideas beyond the obvious, and build on each other’s thinking in ways that actually lead somewhere. Whether your team needs to innovate a product, rethink a process, or simply break out of habitual ways of working, this session gives them a repeatable creative process they can use long after the day is over.

We design every session around a real challenge your team is facing — so the creative thinking is applied, not abstract. Participants leave with both the mindset and the methods.

Half-day or full-day
built around your team

Half-day intensive

3.5 hours

A high-energy, hands-on session that gives participants the core creative thinking toolkit — practical frameworks for generating better ideas, faster, and turning them into something worth acting on.

The creative confidence reset:

Understanding and overcoming the habits, fears, and assumptions that shut creative thinking down before it starts

Problem framing:

How to define the right problem before rushing to solutions — and why reframing a question often unlocks the answer

Idea generation methods:

Structured techniques for generating more ideas, more diverse ideas, and ideas that go beyond the obvious first response

Building and combining ideas:

How to develop, connect, and strengthen raw ideas into concepts worth pursuing — individually and as a group

From idea to action:

A simple framework for evaluating and prioritising ideas so the session ends with decisions, not just a long list

Best for

Teams that want a practical creative boost — ideal for strategy days, product sprints, team off-sites, or as a standalone session before the full-day programme.

RECOMMENDED

Full-day deep dive

7 hours

The complete Creative Thinking & Innovation experience. Participants work through the full innovation cycle, from reframing problems to prototyping ideas applied to a real challenge your team is facing right now.

Creative audit:

Participants map their relationship with creativity — where it flows, where it stalls, and what conditions they need to think at their best

Assumption busting:

A structured method for identifying and challenging the hidden assumptions that constrain how a team sees a problem

Deep problem reframing:

Multiple reframing techniques applied to a real challenge the team brings to the room — surfacing angles they hadn’t considered

Divergent thinking techniques:

An expanded toolkit: SCAMPER, random stimulus, analogical thinking, and role-storming to generate genuinely unexpected ideas

Convergent thinking and selection:

How to evaluate ideas rigorously without killing momentum — using structured criteria, dot voting, and priority mapping

Rapid concept development:

Taking the best ideas and building them into rough concepts with enough detail to test, pitch, or prototype

Innovation team norms:

The shared habits, psychological safety practices, and meeting rituals that make a team consistently more creative over time

Best for

Product, design, strategy, and innovation teams looking to unlock fresh thinking — as well as any team that has got stuck in habitual ways of working and needs a creative reset.

Note

This training works best when anchored to a real challenge. Before every session, we ask the team lead to share one genuine problem the team is working on — something messy, unresolved, and worth solving. The full day is then structured around that challenge, so participants leave with ideas they can actually use, not just a set of techniques to file away. All materials and a digital creative toolkit are included in the booking.

Outcomes

What participants leave with

01

A repeatable creative thinking process

A structured approach to generating and developing ideas that participants can apply to any problem — in any meeting, sprint, or strategy session

02

Problem reframing skills

The ability to challenge assumptions and redefine a problem in ways that open up new possibilities — before jumping to the first obvious solution

03

A personal idea generation toolkit

A set of techniques that work for their thinking style — from divergent brainstorming methods to analogical thinking and structured provocation

04

Skills for building on others’ ideas

How to develop group thinking without groupthink — creating the conditions where diverse perspectives strengthen rather than cancel each other out

05

A framework for evaluating and selecting ideas

Practical tools for moving from a long list of possibilities to a short list of priorities — without losing momentum or defaulting to the safe option

06

A set of innovation team norms

The shared habits and psychological safety practices that make a team consistently more creative — not just on the day of the training, but week after week

“We came in expecting a fun brainstorming day. What we got was a fundamental shift in how our team approaches problems. Three months later, people are still using the frameworks in their weekly meetings — that’s not something I’ve seen from a training before."
